Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website, why, and what your rights are. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portugal's data protection law (Lei n.º 58/2019).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Natalie Gutman, a real estate consultant based in Cascais, Portugal.

2. What data is collected and why

Personal data is only collected when you choose to give it through one of the forms on this site.

Guide download (email form)

Data: your email address. Purpose: to send you the property-buying guide and, if you opt in, occasional updates and tips about buying property in Portugal. Legal basis: your consent.

Contact form

Data: your name, email address, and the message you write. Purpose: to reply to your enquiry and discuss how Natalie can help. Legal basis: your consent and steps taken at your request before entering into a possible service relationship.

Technical site data

Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically log technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

3. Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other sites. Fonts and styles are served from this website itself, so no data is sent to third-party content networks when the page loads.

The site stores one small, strictly necessary item in your browser's local storage (natalie_guide_unlocked) so that, if you return after downloading the guide, you go straight to your resources instead of seeing the form again. It contains no personal data and is not shared with anyone. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.

4. Who your data is shared with

Your form submissions are stored using Google Workspace (Google Sheets / Google Apps Script), which acts as a data processor on Natalie's behalf. Google may process this data on servers outside the European Economic Area; where it does, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. It may be shared with professional advisers (for example a lawyer or accountant) only where needed to help with your specific enquiry, and with authorities where required by law.

5. How long it is kept

Email-list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Contact-form enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. You can ask for deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing). Every marketing email also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
